Drew was raised in the Akron area.  Following graduation from Copley High School in 1981, he entered Bowling Green State University, graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing in 1985.  He was a 4-year Varsity Letterman and co-captain of the Varsity Soccer Team in his senior year.  In 1981, he received the Tony Consiglia Memorial Scholarship, an award presented to the Top Rookie/Varsity Soccer.  In 1982 and 1984 he received the Janet & James Hodge Family Scholarship, an award presented to the Top Upperclassman/Varsity Soccer.  Drew was the Social Chairman of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and Vice President and representative to the Inter-Fraternity Council.  The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association named him Academic All Ohio in 1982.

Drew began his professional career in 1986 as a salesman with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Boston, Ma.  He was soon promoted to assistant store manager, store manager, field automotive service manager, and finally, region manager-retail.  He left Goodyear in 1991 to go into business.  Drew co-owns and operates Tire Source, a small chain of five independent tire & automotive service centers in Medina, Summit, and Stark counties.  His responsibilities include strategic planning, finance, marketing, and advertising.

A Rotarian, Drew is a charter member and prior club service chairman of the Medina Sunrise Rotary Club.  At Westminster Presbyterian Church, Drew has served on the Personnel Committee, volunteered in the Education department, and is currently a resting Deacon and Elder.  Drew was a prior volunteer with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Summit County.  There, Drew maintained six years of continuous, meaningful, heartfelt service with his little brother, Brandon.  Drew has served on the Board of Trustees at Fairlawn Country where he is currently President.

Drew and his wife Amy reside in Copley and have three children, daughters Jordan (12) and Sydney (10), and son Jack (8).  He is enthusiastic about coaching, soccer, golf, skiing, hiking, and the beach.
